Leader, Carl Normal, hails from Stretford, England and his fake English accent helps propel this bombshell and pay tribute to bands like the Buzzcocks and the Undertones. Stretford take the spirit of late-70's English punk and mix in the cruisin' horns of early Saints and shape it into their own sound. The vinyl has a bonus track not on the CD. Includes the chartbusting phenomenon, "Fairgoers." The rhythm section pounds propulsively amidst swirling guitar washes as Jon Sanchez matches wits with Adam Sultan (Poi Dog Pondering).
